C‑Clear Consultancy was established to provide high-quality, accessible compliance support to firms operating in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

We work with investment firms, payment services and fintech businesses, as well as advisory firms and principal-led structures, to help them build, strengthen and maintain effective compliance frameworks - tailored to their specific needs.

Our Story

C‑Clear Consultancy was founded with a clear objective: to provide compliance support that is practical, proportionate and genuinely aligned to the needs of each client.

Having spent over 20 years working in financial services compliance, across a range of firms and regulatory environments, it became clear that there was often a disconnect between what firms needed and what they were being provided. Some were given overly complex or theoretical advice that was difficult to implement in practice. Others found themselves in ongoing arrangements that did not always reflect the level or type of support required.

At the same time, regulatory expectations have continued to evolve with increasing focus on governance, oversight and delivering good customer outcomes. Many firms require support that is both technically robust and commercially realistic, without adding unnecessary complexity.

C‑Clear Consultancy was established in 2023 to address this.

The firm began with a small number of clients drawn from existing relationships and industry referrals, including an initial engagement with a former employer which continues today. Early work was varied, spanning advisory support, compliance framework development and independent audit activity across different types of firms.

From the outset, the business was built on word of mouth and the support of trusted industry contacts, many of whom recognised the value of a more practical and measured approach to compliance. This early backing played an important role in shaping the firm and establishing its reputation.

Since then, C‑Clear has grown steadily, both in terms of its client base and the scope of work undertaken. While the work remains intentionally varied, it now supports a broad range of firms including investment firms, advisory businesses and firms operating within principal or agency structures, as well as those in the payments and fintech space.

As the business has developed, the team has also expanded. Cayley Jensen initially joined as a contractor and has since become a permanent member of the team, bringing additional depth and expertise. More recently, Julia has also joined, further strengthening the firm’s capacity while allowing it to maintain a close, hands-on approach to client work.

Despite this growth, the core principles on which the firm was founded have remained unchanged — providing clear, practical support, working closely with clients, and focusing on what is genuinely needed rather than applying a standardised or overly complex approach.

Cayley Jensen joins C-Clear with over 13 years’ experience as a compliance professional.

Cayley holds a Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, giving her a solid foundation from which she has built during her career.

Her industry experience has spanned the compliance space, providing invaluable knowledge and expertise across the financial services compliance sector.

With a keen eye for detail, Cayley works with clients to ensure that compliance practices are not only put in place but are sufficiently comprehensive for the size and nature of the firm.

Claire Tanti is the founding director of C-Clear Consultancy Ltd. With over 20 years of experience in financial services, she has worked with firms such as WealthKernel Limited, LV=, and Churchill, as well as within the consultancy firm Thistle Initiatives Limited.

Her extensive expertise spans all aspects of financial services compliance, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to embark on this journey.

Throughout her career, Claire has supported firms in tackling a range of compliance challenges—from designing compliance frameworks from the ground up to leading FCA Section 166 reviews.

She has worked with firms of varying size; from small pre-launch firms, through to multi billion pound institutions.

Driven by a passion for financial services compliance, Claire established C-Clear with a clear mission: to help firms navigate the complex regulatory landscape while empowering them to sustain compliance over the long-term.

Julia Scott is a compliance consultant with 13 years’ experience in wealth management, spanning fund management and financial technology. Her background includes asset management, risk, operations, fund dealing and API integration, enabling her to bring practical sector insight to her role at C Clear.

She holds the CFA Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and several Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) qualifications across compliance and investment management. Combining technical knowledge, operational perspective and regulatory understanding, Julia supports firms in interpreting requirements and strengthening controls.
